Disability Support

Disability & Accessibility

Creating an environment where everyone can participate equally

ECU Sri Lanka campus is committed to ensure that students, staff and community members with a disability and/or health condition have equal opportunities to access, engage and participate in all levels of our university.

We encourage you to provide us with information regarding the nature of your disability and special needs during the application and enrolment process, so we can assess your support needs and ensure that you are able to succeed in your studies.

Access and inclusion

Access and inclusion provide support to students with diverse study needs.

In particular, this service is offered to students with a permanent or temporary disability or medical condition which may impact on their participation at ECU, or students who care for a family member with a disability or medical condition.

This support may include:

  • Liaison with academic staff about any potential barriers a student may face and any reasonable adjustments that may be required
  • Alternative format study materials
  • Library assistance

The service develops individualised Learning Adjustment Plans for eligible students to minimise the impact on their studies, and any recommended adjustments.
