ECU Celebrates World Environment Day with a Community Clean-Up
In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th2025, Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka organized a meaningful environmental clean-up in Rajagiriya. The initiative aimed to encourage sustainable practices and community responsibility towards a cleaner, greener environment.
Participants were divided into teams to cover each section efficiently, ensuring maximum coverage in minimal time.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from ECU staff, who actively collected litter and contributed to beautifying the neighborhood. Their dedication not only reflected the spirit of World Environment Day but also demonstrated ECU’s commitment to environmental awareness and action.
This initiative was more than just a clean-up; it was a reminder of the collective responsibility that we share in protecting the planet. Small actions like these can inspire larger change, and ECU is proud to have taken a step in the right direction.
