ECU Walk 2025: A Step Towards Empowerment and Impact

30 Jun 2025
On March 8th, ECU Sri Lanka proudly marked International Women’s Day 2025 with the vibrant “ECU WALK 2025,” a celebration of the power and resilience of women. More than just a walk, it was a strong message to the world about unity, compassion, and action.
Students and staff walked from the ECU Rajagiriya campus to the Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital, where they donated anti-fungal paint to the kidney ward and sanitary napkins to support the female patients. The initiative concluded with a meaningful tree planting session, symbolizing sustainability, growth, and the nurturing spirit of women.
The ECU Walk was filled with energy, joy, and purpose. Students enjoyed every moment, but more than that, they were proud to be part of something greater, spreading awareness and contributing to society meaningfully.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Ratnasiri A. Hewage, Director of the Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital, and the hospital staff for their warm welcome and support.
We are proud to have showcased the strength and compassion of ECU students to the world and we will continue to inspire and lead.
