In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka came together to mark Pink October under the theme #PinkforHope. The event, held on October 30th, 2025, was a heartfelt celebration of strength, awareness, and community support.
Staff across all departments proudly wore pink to show solidarity with breast cancer fighters and survivors, symbolizing ECU’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities and promoting health awareness. The event featured a lively Zumba session led by the ECU wellness team, encouraging participants to move for a cause while celebrating life and vitality.
Pink-themed refreshments and decorations added to the spirit of the day, as the campus came alive with unity and compassion. The initiative was not only about awareness but also about what ECU stands for giving back, caring for one another, and fostering a culture of empathy and wellbeing.
Through Pink October, ECU Sri Lanka reaffirmed its belief that even small acts of support can create ripples of hope and change.
