Zero Plastic Club

About the Club

ECU Sri Lanka is a newly launched national initiative committed to tackling one of the most urgent environmental challenges of our time: plastic pollution. Beginning its journey at Edith Cowan University (ECU) Sri Lanka, this movement unites students, staff, and the wider community under a shared vision, to create a world where plastic-free living is the norm, not the exception. The ZeroPlastic movement stands for awareness, accountability, and action while creating a future where human habits no longer come at the cost of the Earth.

As a pioneering chapter of the national campaign, our mission is to be part of a national movement that challenges our dependency on single-use plastic and redefines our relationship with the environment. Through education, community action, and everyday choices, we aim to spark lasting change, starting locally, but always thinking globally.

Under the leadership of our President, Dehansa Dewlini, we aim to lay the groundwork for meaningful change and demonstrate that small, consistent steps can lead to a powerful, collective impact. With enthusiasm, dedication, and collaboration, ZeroPlastic Movement – ECU Sri Lanka is ready to make a difference
