In commemoration of International Nurses Day and Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, the Bioholics Club of ECU Sri Lanka proudly organized Healing Hands, Strong Minds, a meaningful initiative reminding us that not all wounds are visible.
The day began with a calming Art Therapy Session, creating a safe and creative space for participants to pause, reflect, and reconnect through expression and healing. Through creativity and self-expression, participants were encouraged to embrace moments of mindfulness and emotional well-being.
The afternoon continued with an engaging role play followed by an insightful panel discussion featuring distinguished speakers and panel members including Dr. Ashoke Priyadarshana, Psychologist, Kumudini David, Lecturer in Psychology, Dinithi Samarakoon, Program Convenor of Nursing School, and Shenaya, student of the Bachelor of Science Nursing (Top-Up) programme. Their valuable perspectives on mental health, resilience, and the essential role nurses play in supporting emotional well-being created meaningful conversations and inspired greater awareness among participants.
