Sport and Recreation

ECU has a wide range of recreation and special interest clubs on campus, many of them facilitated by the Student Council. The Student Council and Rotaract Clubs empower student leaders to get involved in and organise various activities, including charity events, corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, career development programs and more for their peers.

Cricket is a major sport in Sri Lanka – and it’s no different at ECU, with a dedicated cricket club for this national pastime. Other sports clubs that students can join include rugby, basketball and football.

Choose to stay on campus for a meal and enjoy the beautiful ocean views from the rooftop cafeteria. The ECU cafeteria offers a wide selection of hot meals, snacks, and treats.

There are plentiful food choices and venues within close proximity of the campus, making them easily accessible on your study breaks. You’re never far off from a delicious food option in Colombo.

Students who travel to campus by car can access parking in the basement car park, however spots are limited. Additional parking is available just outside of the main building on campus.
