Lunu Dehi 2025
A Celebration of Rhythm, Culture & Community
On the 4th of July 2025, the Rotaract Club of Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka proudly hosted Lunu Dehi, our much-anticipated Baila Night, on the 7th floor of the ECU campus. This dynamic celebration brought Sri Lankan traditions to life through music, dance, and cultural pride.
With over 200 attendees from the student body and the wider community, the evening was vibrant and full of energy. One of the most memorable highlights was the exhilarating live performance by The Agents, a renowned band celebrated for their captivating Baila renditions. Their set included the crowd-favourite Lunu Dehi song as the signature tune of the night.
From 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, guests immersed themselves in a festive experience featuring colourful stalls, a themed photo booth, and a custom-designed event backdrop. The dress code, celebrating traditional Sri Lankan attire of sarongs and lungis, was enthusiastically embraced, adding authenticity and colour to the night.
A key moment of the evening was the Baila King & Queen contest, where spirited participants competed with flair and rhythm, dancing their way into the spotlight and claiming the coveted titles.
Lunu Dehi 2025 was a tribute to Sri Lankan culture and the community spirit of the ECU family. It reflects as a testament to the creativity and teamwork that define our Rotaract Club.
