ECU Cybersecurity Mini Hackathon 2026 – CTF Training Session

27 Jul 2026

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Capture the Flag (CTF) Training Session held as part of the ECU Cybersecurity Mini Hackathon 2026.

The session provided students with valuable insights into CTF competitions, cybersecurity challenges, practical problem-solving techniques, and effective strategies for tackling real-world security scenarios. It also equipped participants with the knowledge and confidence to prepare for the upcoming CTF competition.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Imran Malik for sharing his expertise and experience with our students.

We also acknowledge the valuable support of the ECU Sri Lanka academic team, including Madawa Senevirathna, Hansila Sudasinghe, Jethendri Perera, and Kavindi Tharika, for delivering an engaging and informative session.

It was encouraging to witness the enthusiasm, curiosity, teamwork, and active participation demonstrated by our students. We look forward to seeing them apply their knowledge and skills in the upcoming competition.

A special thank you to David Matthews, Matt Stanton, and Dr. Sajani Dias for their continued support in making this initiative possible.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the training session.
