ABOUT US

The ECU Entrepreneurs Club is a dynamic student-led community at Edith Cowan University, Sri Lanka, dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial thinking, developing future leaders, and fostering innovation. The Club brings together students who aspire to become entrepreneurs and those who are already building their own ventures, providing a supportive environment to explore ideas, develop capabilities, and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our Vision is to cultivate visionary ECU entrepreneurial leaders who drive innovation, create sustainable ventures, and shape the future of Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with lasting global impact. Our Mission is to empower ECU students through entrepreneurial education, leadership development, mentorship, networking, and venture creation opportunities, fostering a vibrant ecosystem where ideas evolve into innovative businesses and generate lasting societal impact.

Our Strategic DNA is defined by five strategic pillars that guide the Club’s identity, direction, and purpose. Ignite focuses on developing entrepreneurial knowledge, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Elevate empowers students to strengthen their leadership capabilities, pursue personal excellence, and develop professional confidence. Connect creates meaningful networks and facilitates access to opportunities, industry insights, mentorship, and strategic exposure. Build supports venture creation, innovation, and enterprise development, helping students transform ideas into viable business concepts. Impact promotes ethical entrepreneurship, community engagement, and the creation of sustainable value and lasting legacies.

Guided by our signature strategic positioning—Ignite Ideas, Elevate Leaders, Connect Opportunities, Build Ventures, Impact the World—the Club seeks to bridge the gap between entrepreneurial ambition and practical action.

The ECU entrepreneurial ecosystem brings together the ECC and ECU student communities, internal academic and administrative mentors, selected external entrepreneurs and policymakers, community entrepreneurs, alumni entrepreneurs, and relevant government entities. Through these connections, the Club aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaborative initiatives, mentorship, and meaningful engagement with Sri Lanka’s wider entrepreneurial landscape.

Ultimately, the ECU Entrepreneurs Club aspires to create an inclusive and inspiring community where students can discover their potential, develop entrepreneurial capabilities, launch ventures, and contribute to a more innovative, responsible, and globally connected future.
