Two days of discovery, Exploring the Science Behind Forensics and Biomedical Science and hands-on learning came to life at the Bioholics Lab Quest 2026, bringing together university and school students for an exciting journey into the world of biomedical science.
On 22 September, the Inter-University Lab Quest, hosted by Dr. Anjana Welikala , Ph.D., challenged students to put their scientific knowledge and laboratory skills to the test through a forensic case-based laboratory challenge. We were delighted to welcome teams from Edith Cowan University – Sri Lanka, SLIIT, Management and Science Institute, Amrak Institute of Medical Sciences, KIU Sri Lanka and ICBT Campus.

The following day, 23 September, saw the lab come alive with our School Lab Quest, welcoming students from Horizon College International and Sri Rahula Balika Maha Vidyalaya Malabe. Through an engaging hands-on workshop led by our lecturers, students were introduced to fundamental biomedical laboratory techniques before taking part in a small-group activity designed to strengthen their understanding of biomedical science.
At ECU, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Experiences like these give students the opportunity to explore, experiment, and discover where science can take them.
