University Orientation – S2 2025
The Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka proudly welcomed its newest cohort of students today during a dynamic and engaging Orientation Day. It was a day filled with inspiration, knowledge-sharing, and a true sense of belonging which was a perfect introduction to the premium, elite Australian education experience that awaits.
The program featured insightful sessions on academic excellence, ECU’s multicultural ethos, and the unique advantages of studying in an international university. Dr. Sajani Dias, Dean of Academic Programs, led an impactful session focused on setting the tone for academic excellence, while Prof. Helen Klaebe, General Manager of ECU Sri Lanka, elaborated on the broader importance of choosing ECU Sri Lanka for its globally recognized education and strong academic foundations.
A special address was delivered by Mr. David Matthews, the newly appointed Pro Vice Chancellor, who shared his vision for ECU and the importance of global exposure in shaping future-ready graduates.
Adding vibrant energy to the day, representatives from all ECU Sri Lanka clubs and societies conducted engaging sessions to showcase the wealth of co-curricular opportunities available. From leadership and volunteering to arts, culture, and innovation, students were encouraged to explore, participate, and thrive beyond the classroom.
