The 2nd International Research Symposium on Sustainable Business (IRSSB 2024) builds upon the success of its predecessor in 2023, emerging as a significant platform for scholarly discussions and knowledge exchange in the field of marketing and commerce. Hosted by Edith Cowan University Sri Lanka's School of Business and Law, this symposium is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable business practices and their impact on the global market.

Details of Submission

If you would like to present a paper at the IRSSB 2024 we ask that you submit a following for consideration by our Scientific Committee.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts
    • Word Limit 300 words
      • Clearly state the research problem, objectives, methodology, and key findings.
      • Include keywords for indexing and searchability.
  • Full Papers
    • Manuscripts should adhere to APA formatting guidelines.
      • Clearly articulate the research problem, methodology, results, and implications for sustainable business.
      • Maximum length 8,000 words (excluding references)
    • Submit in MS Word format.
  • Research Posters
    • Present your research visually on a poster.
    • Include key elements such as research question, methodology, results, and conclusions.
    • Poster size A1 (594 x 841 mm)
    • Include title, author(s), and key findings.
    • Submit a MS Word format.
  • Case Studies
    • Detail real-world applications of sustainable business practices.
    • Discuss challenges faced, strategies employed, and outcomes achieved.
    • Case studies should follow a standard structure.
    • Maximum length 2500 words
    • Submit in MS Word format.
  • Working Papers
    • Present ongoing research or preliminary findings.
    • Provide insights into the research design and potential implications.
    • Provide a clear outline of the research scope and objectives.
    • Maximum length 1000 words
    • Submit in MS Word format.

Deadlines

  • Submission Deadline July 15th, 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance August 15th, 2024
  • Early Bird Registration Deadline August 20th, 2024
  • Final Paper Submission September 15th, 2024
  • Symposium Dates October 1st and October 2nd, 2024

Conference Proceedings and Journal Publications

The peer-reviewed conference papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (Full Paper). Additionally, selected papers will be published in the ECU Sri Lanka Journal of Business (ECUSBM).
